Ten Advisers Appointed with Ministerial Status Under New Gazette Notification

Dhaka: Ten advisers to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman have been appointed with the status of ministers and state ministers, as per a recent announcement. The Cabinet Division released a gazette notification confirming these appointments, reflecting a significant change in the advisory landscape of the government.



According to United News of Bangladesh, the gazette notification, which was issued on Tuesday, detailed the appointments of five advisers with the status of ministers. These individuals are Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed, Nazrul Islam Khan, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Md Ismail Zabiullah, and Dr Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir.



Additionally, the notification included the appointment of five other advisers with the status of state ministers. These are Humayun Kabir, Brig Gen (retd) Shamsul Islam, Dr Zahedur Rahman, and Dr Mahdi Amin. The appointments were made under Rule 3(B) of the Rules of Business, 1996, as stated in the notification signed by Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Gani.



The announcement indicates that the order will become effective soon, marking a new phase in the administration’s operational framework. This development comes amid ongoing political activities, including the decision by BNP MPs to decline the oath as CRC members.
