Dhaka: A teenage motorcycle mechanic was killed while test-riding a motorcycle that collided head-on with a truck at Alukdia Bazar in Sadar upazila this morning. The deceased was identified as Abdullah, 14, son of Sahabuddin from Taltala village in Chuadanga municipality. He worked at a motorcycle servicing shop in Alukdia Bazar.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Abdullah had been repairing motorcycles at the workshop since the morning. After completing repairs on a motorcycle, he took it onto the Chuadanga-Meherpur highway for a routine test ride to check its functionality. During this test ride, the motorcycle collided with a truck, leaving him critically injured.
Locals immediately rescued Abdullah and rushed him to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on the way. Officer-in-Charge of Chuadanga Sadar Police Station, Mizanur Rahman, confirmed the incident and stated that the body was handed over to the family for burial without an autopsy, as no complaint had been filed.
