Lakshmipur: Water Resources Minister Md. Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee today emphasized that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is leading the government’s development initiatives by following the principles and visions of his parents. He made these remarks during a discussion organized by the Lakshmipur District BNP to commemorate the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Anee, who also serves as the joint secretary general of BNP, highlighted that Tarique Rahman’s parents, Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia, were known for being people-oriented, democratic-minded, and patriotic leaders. He stated that the BNP has historically worked for the welfare of the country and remains committed to this cause.
Anee further mentioned that the people have once again placed their trust in the BNP to lead the nation forward. He urged party members to continue working for the country’s progress, inspired by the ideology of Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia.
The event also featured speeches from Lakshmipur-2 MP Abul Khayer Bhuiyan, Lakshmipur-1 MP Shahadat Hossain Selim, Member Secretary of Lakshmipur District BNP and Zila Parishad administrator Sahabuddin Sabu, and BNP leader and Vice President of the Bangladesh Football Federation Advocate Wahid Uddin Chowdhury Happy.
