Dhaka: Amra BNP Paribar will distribute Eid gifts to families of party leaders and activists who are victims of enforced disappearance, killings, maiming, and July uprising martyrs and injured, marking the month of Ramadan. This initiative is undertaken at the directives of BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Atiqur Rahman Raman, convener of 'Amra BNP Paribar', stated that the gifts will be delivered directly to the recipients' homes. Member secretary of the organization, Mokchedul Momin Mithun, noted that since 2016, Eid gifts have been distributed every year during Ramadan to around 1,200 families of those party leaders and workers who became victims of enforced disappearance, killings, and maiming during the period of the Awami League.
This year, the number of beneficiaries may increase further and is expected to exceed approximately 1,700-1,800 families.
