Dhaka: BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Rangpur district BNP member secretary Anisur Rahman Laku.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in a message of condolence posted on his verified Facebook page, Tarique Rahman shared that Anisur Rahman Laku, who had also served as the former general secretary of Rangpur district Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and district Jubo Dal, fell sick on the way to Rangpur last night. Laku passed away while undergoing treatment at Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.
Rahman emphasized Laku's commitment as a BNP leader, highlighting his political journey which began during his student life with a deep faith in the principles and ideals of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, Bir Uttam. Rahman noted, "He has worked with dedication to organize and strengthen Rangpur district BNP," and remarked that Laku's demise is an irreparable loss to the party.
He extended his prayers for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family members, relatives, admirers, and well-wishers.
