Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today expressed deep sorrow at the tragic loss of lives in a passenger plane crash in India's Ahmedabad. In a condolence message, he said, "The crash of a London-bound aircraft shortly after takeoff, carrying 242 passengers from various countries, is truly heartbreaking". "I offer my deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in this deadly tragedy and express heartfelt sympathy to their family members. In this moment of grief, let us all stand by them and offer our sincere prayers and compassion," the message reads.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the aircraft, which was en route to London, experienced difficulties shortly after takeoff, leading to the unfortunate incident. The crash has left a significant impact on the international community, with several nations mourning the loss of their citizens. Immediate response efforts were launched to rescue any potential survivors and recover the bodies of those who perished.
