Tarique Rahman Expresses Gratitude to Chief Adviser Upon Return

Dhaka: BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed gratitude to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus immediately after returning home from a long 17-year exile. After arriving at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport this morning, he called the Chief Adviser over the phone to communicate his appreciation.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during their conversation, Tarique Rahman thanked the Chief Adviser for the arrangements made for his security and the overall management of his homecoming events. A video shared on the verified Facebook page of the BNP media cell showed Tarique Rahman inquiring about the wellbeing of the Chief Adviser during their phone conversation.



Tarique Rahman expressed his gratitude by saying, “I thank you on behalf of myself and my family. Specially, my sincere gratitude for the measures taken for my security.” The video also depicted that at the end of the phone call, he sought blessings from Chief Adviser Prof Yunus and concluded the conversation by conveying salam.



Tarique Rahman returned to his homeland after 17 years in exile. A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying Tarique Rahman from London landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 11:40 am via Sylhet.
