Dhaka: BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman today urged the people to take a correct decision to build the desired Bangladesh for everyone in the future. He emphasized that the upcoming election on February 12 is not merely an election; it is a pivotal moment for building the nation. “To materialize the dream, people must take correct decisions,” he said.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Tarique Rahman delivered these remarks as the chief guest at an election rally organized in support of BNP candidate Tanvir Ahmed Robin for the Dhaka-4 constituency at Zuraine Dayaganj Road in the city. He highlighted the necessity of choosing the right person and symbol for the country’s development and for changing people’s fates.

Rahman articulated BNP’s vision of a Bangladesh where everyone, regardless of gender, could move safely, conduct business peacefully, and ensure their families’ safety at home. He underscored the need for a hospital, improved connectivity roads, and employment opportunities in the locality.

He assured that if BNP forms the government, effective steps would be taken to solve these local issues. Rahman recalled the development works, including road and canal projects, implemented during the tenure of former Prime Minister Deshnetri Begum Khaleda Zia, and promised to resume these projects if BNP returns to power.

The BNP Chairman stated that he has engaged in discussions with ambassadors from various countries to secure employment opportunities for the Bangladeshi youth. The ambassadors assured him that foreign investors would come to Bangladesh and set up industries if BNP forms the government.

Rahman also promised the establishment of modern training institutes and IT centers across every district to develop skilled human resources. He emphasized that such initiatives would provide employment opportunities both domestically and internationally.

Addressing healthcare concerns, Rahman noted the insufficiency of existing hospitals in Dhaka and committed to building a hospital in Zurain if BNP forms the government. He also promised the gradual recruitment of one lakh healthcare workers nationwide to provide primary healthcare services at people’s doorsteps, thus simultaneously improving healthcare access and creating new employment opportunities.

Rahman asserted that BNP is uniquely equipped with realistic programs and governance experience to tackle the country’s challenges. He cited historical precedents of BNP’s achievements in food sufficiency, employment creation, and recognition in the international arena as proof of their capability.

He alleged that a political party is attempting to manipulate the election process through fake ballot seals and urged voters to remain vigilant against such conspiracies. Rahman concluded by encouraging voters to arrive early at polling centers and stay until the vote counting is completed.
