Dhaka: BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today virtually addressed the Hindu Representatives’ Conference of Matua Bahujan Samaj Oikya Jote as the chief guest at the Bangladesh Krishibid Institution auditorium. Rahman emphasized the importance of unity among Bangladeshis, regardless of religious or community differences, and highlighted the political philosophy of Bangladeshi Nationalism as a unifying bond.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rahman stressed that citizens of all religions and communities have equal rights and that dignity, respect, and security do not require allegiance to a specific political party. He highlighted the challenges faced during the regime of a deposed fascist, noting the lack of rule of law and justice for attacks on religious minorities. Rahman called for a Citizen Investigation Commission to ensure fair justice for such incidents.

Rahman urged the interim government and democratic forces to remain vigilant against destabilizing efforts by fallen fascist forces. He advocated for national unity against fascism and emphasized BNP’s commitment to democratic principles and the empowerment of people. Rahman reiterated the importance of a democratic government accountable to the people, warning against partisan interests.

The BNP has presented plans to ensure economic empowerment, including the introduction of ‘Family Cards’ and ‘Farmers Cards’ for disadvantaged families and farmers. Rahman also outlined initiatives for technical training to create skilled manpower. He appealed to the Hindu community to support BNP in the upcoming national elections, promising to build a Bangladesh of harmony and prosperity.

In closing, Rahman urged citizens to remain vigilant against exploitation of their religious identity for partisan interests, emphasizing equal rights for all citizens. He concluded with the message that the interests of the country and its people come first for the BNP.
