Tangail District Security Committee Discusses Eid Traffic Management

Tangail: The District Security Committee convened a meeting today to deliberate on strategies for alleviating traffic congestion on highways ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. The aim is to ensure a smooth journey for travelers heading home for the holidays.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was held in the deputy commissioner’s conference room and was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque. Key attendees included Deputy Director (Local Government) Md Shihab Rayhan, Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Rakibul Hasan Russel, Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Al Mamun, Additional District Magistrate Md Mahbub Hasan, and leaders of the Bus Owners’ Association.



The participants focused on devising strategies to streamline traffic flow, prevent gridlocks, and enhance road safety during the anticipated Eid holiday rush. The discussions aimed at implementing effective measures to manage the increased vehicular movement during this peak travel period.
