Swimming, Football, and Athletics Training Successfully Concludes in Mymensingh

Mymensingh: The closing ceremony of the swimming, football, and athletics training program was held at the Mymensingh district stadium today, marking the end of a comprehensive training initiative for young athletes. The program was organized by the Mymensingh district sports office as part of the annual sports activities under the Sports Directorate.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the training sessions commenced on April 21, targeting U-15 boys and girls. The events took place at various venues, including the Mymensingh district stadium, the ladies club ground, and the Mymensingh swimming complex. Each sporting event hosted forty boys and an equal number of girls, providing an opportunity for a total of 120 young athletes to enhance their skills.



The closing ceremony featured the distribution of certificates to all participants, recognizing their dedication across the twenty-one sessions of training. The event was graced by the presence of key coaches, including Md. Abdus Samad Kajal for swimming, Md. Emdadul Haque (Tutul) for football, and Monowar Hossain Monir, Sohel Rana, Md. Atiqur Bashar, and Md. Mahbubur Alam Ratan for athletics.



Presided over by Mymensingh district sports officer Al-Amin, the program highlighted the achievements of these young athletes. Selected talented football players from the training will have the chance to compete for spots in the Mymensingh divisional team for the Development Cup football tournament. Additionally, athletes and swimmers who showed promise during the training will proceed to the divisional selection for the National Junior Athletics and National Junior Swimming competitions, organized by the Sports Directorate.
