Dhaka: The Embassy of Sweden in Dhaka has issued a clarification regarding its role in processing visa services, emphasizing that it does not handle matters related to residence permits or national visas for stays exceeding 90 days. The embassy advised applicants to reach out directly to the relevant authorities for these specific requests.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the embassy highlighted that its responsibilities are limited to processing Schengen visa applications on behalf of a select group of countries, which includes Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovenia, and Sweden. The statement aimed to clear any misunderstandings about the embassy's jurisdiction over long-term visas and residence permits.

The embassy reiterated, "Please note that the Embassy does not represent any other country regarding residence permits or national visas (stays longer than 90 days). For such matters, applicants must contact the relevant embassy or migration authority directly." This clarification seeks to prevent any potential confusion among individuals applying for visas to various European countries.
