Nayapaltan:A tree plantation, care, and cleanliness program took place in front of the BNP's central office in Nayapaltan on Monday, organized by the Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal. The event followed directives from Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

According to United News of Bangladesh, BNP Acting Secretary General and the Prime Minister's Political Adviser Ruhul Kabir Rizvi attended the program as the chief guest. The event was chaired by Swechchhasebak Dal central President SM Zillani and conducted by its central General Secretary Rajib Ahsan.

Rizvi highlighted that the organization's cleanliness campaign aims to inspire others to undertake similar initiatives. He emphasized that although it is not a government body, the voluntary organization embarked on these activities through its initiatives and member contributions.

The Prime Minister had previously committed to promoting greenery and announced a program to plant 25 crore trees over five years to combat global warming and climate change. Rizvi noted that tree plantation efforts have already surpassed the expected levels in the first eight to nine months of the initiative.

Rizvi stressed the importance of ongoing tree care and maintenance, noting that simply planting trees is insufficient. Proper watering and cleanliness are crucial to their growth and development.

The Swechchhasebak Dal has taken on the task of maintaining trees on road islands and medians, using several vans equipped with water drums and tools. Members will extend these activities to road islands from Nayapaltan both north and south.

Rizvi described the program as a noble initiative aimed at environmental protection and human safety. Central leaders of Swechchhasebak Dal and various unit leaders were present at the event.
