Sylhet: Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) is set to embark on a 21-day vacation to observe the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha and summer break. This vacation period commenced today and is scheduled to conclude on June 14, as per a press release issued on the university's official website.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, all classes at SUST will be suspended from May 25 to June 12 in observance of the summer vacation and Eid-ul-Azha. The inclusion of June 13 and 14, which fall on Friday and Saturday, effectively extends the holiday period to 21 days for students.
The press release further detailed that the university offices will remain closed from June 1 to June 12. However, they will be operational from May 25 to May 27, aligning with the university calendar.
It is noteworthy that the university calendar initially allocated 12 days for the summer vacation. This duration was reduced by five days to seven days to help alleviate session delays at SUST.
