Rajshahi: The 53rd Summer Sports Competition has been inaugurated in Rajshahi amid a festive atmosphere. The competition was inaugurated this morning at the Rajshahi District Muktijoddha Smriti Stadium with the playing of the national anthem.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, an impressive display was performed with the participation of students from various educational institutions. The inaugural ceremony, organized by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, Rajshahi Region, was attended by Shafiqul Haque Milon, Member of Parliament for Rajshahi-3, as the chief guest.
The program was presided over by Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Yusuf Ali. Special guests were Zila Parishad Administrator Ershad Ali Isha, Member of Parliament for Rajshahi-6 Abu Sayeed Chand, DIG of Rajshahi Range Police Ashik Sayeed, Deputy Commissioner Kazi Shahidul Islam, and Chairman of Rajshahi Education Board Professor Shamim Ara Chowdhury.
In addition, local public representatives, sports organizers, teachers and students from various educational institutions, and local dignitaries were present at the inaugural ceremony.
