Gazipur: Students with special needs, including those with autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy, will receive an additional 30 minutes to complete their exams during the Honors 3rd year examination-2024 at National University. This initiative aims to provide an equitable examination environment for all students.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the announcement was made through a notification signed by National University Controller of Examinations Md. Enamul Karim. The notification specified that to avail of this benefit, students must present a disability certificate issued by the Department of Social Services. Furthermore, the principal or officer-in-charge is required to submit the necessary documentation, including a copy of the admit card and the disability certificate, to the Controller of Examinations or the concerned Additional Controller of Examinations, at least two working days before the commencement of the exams.
The notification further instructed that the answer sheets of candidates with special needs should be sealed separately and dispatched to the Additional Controller of Examinations, Honours 3rd Year, at National University, Gazipur-1704. These packets must be clearly marked in red ink as 'Answer Sheet for Candidates with Disabilities' to ensure proper handling and evaluation.
