Dhaka: The Election Commission (EC) has emphasized its commitment to taking strict measures against individuals who attempt to disrupt order at polling centres.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a notification from the EC, signed by EC Secretariat Director (Public Relations) Md Ruhul Amin Mallick, stated that police personnel stationed at polling centres are equipped with hidden cameras on their uniforms to capture any disruptive activities. The EC assured that strict measures will be implemented against those found responsible for disturbances.
The notification further explained that all activities at the polling centres are under surveillance through CCTV, and drones are being utilized to monitor other locations. The commission issued a warning against participating in any unlawful or disruptive actions during the voting process.
