Dhaka:State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, Mir Shahe Alam, emphasized the Bangladesh Nationalist Party's (BNP) dedication to governing with the people's mandate during a health camp event in Mirpur-10. The event, held at the Adarsha High School ground, featured a daylong healthcare camp organized by the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) to combat dengue fever and provide primary healthcare services.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the health camp aimed to raise awareness about dengue prevention and ensure medical services for city residents. State Minister for Health, Dr. M A Muhith, attended as a special guest.
Mir Shahe Alam reiterated the government's commitment, under Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's leadership, to prioritize the welfare and satisfaction of the people. He cited recent administrative measures against ministers and MPs as evidence of the government's transparency and accountability, stating that any actions against public interest would not be tolerated.
The state minister also highlighted the successful election of BNP-nominated candidates in recent by-elections, which he attributed to the public's rejection of political conspiracies. He criticized opposing parties for their immoral activities, contrasting BNP's integrity and accountability, as demonstrated by the prime minister's proactive stance on issues like electricity load-shedding.
He further noted BNP's initiatives in providing essential services such as safe drinking water, healthcare, and infrastructure development, expressing confidence that the people of Dhaka will continue to support BNP candidates. The DNCC's healthcare camp provided services in various medical fields, including gynaecology and dermatology, reinforcing the party's commitment to public welfare.
The program was presided over by DNCC Administrator Shafiqul Islam Khan and attended by city corporation officials, administrative personnel, and political leaders.
