Dhaka: State Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shaikh Faridul Islam visited the Rajshahi Silk Factory on Saturday afternoon. During this visit, the state minister had the opportunity to tour and observe the production activities of the traditional Rajshahi Silk.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bangladesh Sericulture Development Board Director General Md Toufiq Al Mahmud provided a comprehensive briefing to the state minister about the overall activities of the silk factory. He detailed the various measures and action plans that are currently being implemented for the development of this traditional industry.
The inspection was attended by members of the Board of Directors of the Bangladesh Sericulture Development Board, including Aslam Sarkar, Ashraf Jamal, and Suraiya Khatun. Additionally, Director (Research and Training) of the Sericulture Development Board Nasima Khatun, Director (Administration) Reza Hasan, Director (Production and Marketing) Mizanur Rahman, and other board officials were present.
