Dhaka: The government has appointed Advocate Musa Kalimullah as the state defence counsel to represent the accused in the Ramisa rape and murder case before the Dhaka Metropolitan Children Violence Suppression Tribunal.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a gazette notification issued by the Solicitor Wing of the Law and Justice Division confirmed the appointment of the state defence counsel to conduct Case No. 35 of Pallabi Police Station on behalf of the accused. This development follows the earlier appointment of Advocate Azizur Rahman Dulu as the Special Public Prosecutor on May 23, tasked with representing the state in the high-profile Ramisa murder case.
In the latest proceedings, Judge Masrur Salekin of the Dhaka Metropolitan Children Violence Suppression Tribunal has scheduled a hearing for June 1 to address the charge framing in the case. This decision was made after the court accepted the charge sheet filed in the case, marking a significant step forward in the judicial process.
