Dhaka:Standard Chartered Bangladesh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) to introduce a Priority Banking proposition exclusively for eligible ICAB members. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, this initiative is designed to acknowledge the contributions made by Chartered Accountants in promoting good governance, transparency, and sustainable economic growth. The banking proposition offers a range of customised financial and lifestyle benefits tailored for this professional community. Eligible Chartered Accountants will have access to preferential banking and financing solutions, which include savings on ICAB membership and practitioner fees, cashback, fee waivers on selected products, and curated lifestyle and travel privileges. Additionally, they will receive complimentary supplementary debit cards. The partnership also extends to providing ICAB members access to Standard Chartered's broader Priority Banking services. This inc ludes dedicated Relationship Manager support, Bancassurance solutions, and Islamic Banking options through Standard Chartered Saadiq. Enamul Huque, Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bangladesh, emphasized the bank's long-standing commitment to Bangladesh, noting the significant role Chartered Accountants play in governance and economic frameworks globally. He stated that the partnership aims to offer these professionals convenience, meaningful value, and a tailored banking experience. Sabbir Ahmed FCA, President of ICAB, expressed that delivering value to members is a key priority for ICAB. He welcomed the collaboration with Standard Chartered, highlighting that the benefits address both the professional and personal financial needs of Chartered Accountants. He anticipates that members will leverage this partnership to manage their financial priorities with greater flexibility. The MoU was signed by Enamul Huque and Sabbir Ahmed FCA, with senior representatives from both organizations present a t the ceremony.
