Dhaka: The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has issued an 11-point directive to center secretaries and officials ahead of the SSC and equivalent exams starting nationwide on April 21.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the directives, signed by DSHE Director General (Additional Charge) Professor B M Abdul Hannan, require the installation of CCTV in every exam room. This measure aims to ensure transparency and curb cheating during the exams. Additionally, body checks will be conducted to prevent any dishonest practices, and law enforcement officers will be deployed to maintain security at the exam centers.
The DSHE has also stipulated that each exam room must be equipped with clocks to manage exam timing effectively, as well as proper lighting and ventilation to ensure a conducive environment for the candidates. Cleanliness in the exam halls is also emphasized as part of the directives. The use of mobile phones has been restricted to center secretaries only, and clear instructions are required to be displayed at the entrances of exam halls to guide students and staff.
The DSHE has issued a stern warning that any negligence or non-compliance with these directives could result in strict legal action against the staff responsible, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the guidelines to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations.
