Sri Lankan Health Minister Meets Newly Elected Bangladeshi Prime Minister

Dhaka: Sri Lanka’s Minister of Health and Mass Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, has paid a courtesy call on newly elected Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. Jayatissa met Rahman at his Sangsad Bhaban office following Rahman’s swearing-in as the 11th Prime Minister of Bangladesh at the South Plaza of the Sangsad Bhaban earlier in the day.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting included Prime Minister’s daughter, Zaima Rahman, newly appointed minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman, and other officials. Dr. Jayatissa arrived in Dhaka specifically to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Bangladesh’s new cabinet, which is led by BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman.
