Special Service Operations of CAG Office Inaugurated

Dhaka: A four-day special service operation was inaugurated today at all the audit and accounts offices throughout the country, marking the 52nd anniversary of the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a discussion meeting was held online to commemorate the anniversary, where the Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh (CAG), Md Nurul Islam, participated as the chief guest. During the event, the CAG instructed all relevant parties to perform their duties beyond traditional methods by adopting innovative practices and focusing on public interest.



The CAG highlighted the significant role of the audit and accounts department in assessing the effective and efficient expenditure of public funds. He noted that the department, alongside service automation, has been delivering services efficiently to various recipients, including pensioners and public servants, who have expressed satisfaction with the services.



Md Nurul Islam urged officials and employees of the CAG to maintain honesty, integrity, and sincerity in their duties. The meeting was attended online by senior officials like Office of the Controller General of Accounts SM Rezvi, Deputy CAG (senior) Md Shariful Islam, CGDF AHM Shamsur Rahman, among others.



Under the special service operations, interested service seekers are provided with various audit-related services, including salaries, allowances, pensions, GPF, and other services.
