Dhaka: Special prayers were held in all mosques across the country after Jummah prayers today, seeking eternal peace for the souls of those who perished in the Bangladesh Air Force jet crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara on Monday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the program included a milad and doa mahfil at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital. Prayers were also conducted at other religious places of worship to honor the victims and offer condolences to the bereaved families.
Earlier on Thursday, the council of advisers convened a meeting and decided to hold these prayers on Friday as a mark of respect and remembrance for those affected by the tragic incident.
