Dhaka: Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, Bir Bikram has extended his congratulations to the Bangladesh U-20 football team following their remarkable victory over India in the SAFF U-20 Championship. In his message, the Speaker praised the players, coaches, and officials of the Bangladesh U-20 team as well as the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) for their achievement in securing the championship.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Speaker expressed his hopes that the U-20 football team will maintain their winning momentum in the future. The victory was a significant achievement for the team, as they emerged victorious in a tense penalty shoot-out against India, with a final score of 4-3, held at the National Football Stadium in Male, Maldives.
Additionally, Deputy Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal and Chief Whip Nurul Islam also conveyed their congratulations to the team in separate messages, celebrating the historic triumph.
