South Korean Envoy Praises Youth Talent as K-POP Audition Concludes in Dhaka

Dhaka: South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Park Young-sik has praised the talent and aspirations of Bangladeshi youth, expressing optimism about the country’s bright future as the 2025 K-POP Bangladesh Global Audition concluded successfully in Dhaka on Saturday evening.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the ambassador highlighted the potential of Bangladeshi young people, citing their eagerness to build a better future. He expressed hope that the dreams of the young winners would come true.



The South Korean Embassy, in partnership with Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), organized the event to foster cultural exchange and deepen mutual understanding between the people of South Korea and Bangladesh. This year saw 105 video submissions in the K-POP performance category, with 15 teams selected for live performances at the IUB auditorium.



The shortlisted teams included Rudhin, HHSBD, Hridita Maitra, A-Maze, OMADA, Tahana Prionty, Rakuzan Klan, Knight Sisters, Lumen-I, Acu-Bi, Lazina Chowdhury, Lost Dynasty, Heaven’s Law, Last Min8, and Renessus. Five of the best teams were awarded during the finale.



The Embassy announced that the national winners would be recommended for final selection to participate in the 2025 K-POP World Festival, scheduled to be held in October in Changwon, South Korea.



As part of its cultural diplomacy efforts, the South Korean Embassy has been consistently organizing events such as Korean film festivals and K-POP concerts to promote connectivity and strengthen bilateral relations between Bangladesh and South Korea. The Embassy expressed its sincere appreciation to all contest participants and hoped their excellent performances would serve as inspiration during challenging times.
