Bangladesh shuttlers SSM Sifat Ullah Galib and Mustakim Hossain emerged boys’ doubles champions in the South Asian U-15 Regional Junior Badminton Championship 2022 held in Assam, India on Saturday.
The Bangladeshi pair clinched the U-15 title beating Indian pair Garg Abhinav and Koundilya Prateek in the event’s final.
In the boys U-17 doubles, Bangladeshi shuttlers Nazmul Islam Joy and Shaheed Ahmed finished 3rd.
Six South Asian countries –India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives- took part in the meet, organized by Badminton Asia.
