Solar panels were distributed among 338 families in Choikkhong Union under Ali Kadam upazila here today.
Minister for Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing distributed the solar panels in a function held on Choikkhong Union Parishad premises this afternoon.
Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing, in his speech, said, "Remote areas will be illuminated with solar panels," he added.
Chairman of Chattogram Hill Tracts Development Board Nikhil Kumar Chakma chaired the function.
Project Director Harun-or-Rashid, Deputy Director of district Loacl govt division Md Lutfur Rahman, Executive Engineer Abu Bin Mohammad Yasir Arafat, Bandarban Zila Parishad Member Lakshmipado Das and Mozammel Haque Bahadur were present, among others.
