Boalkhali: An electrician named Md. Babul, aged 42, succumbed to a snakebite at Charkhijirpur Satgariyapara village in Boalkhali upazila last night. Babul, son of the late Nurul Azim, encountered the fatal incident after returning home from work.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Babul was putting away his tools in the bamboo fence of his house around 8 pm when he was bitten by a snake. Following the bite, he was immediately taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH).
Nurul Alam, the in-charge of the CMCH Police Box, confirmed that Babul died at the hospital around 1 am. The snakebite proved fatal despite prompt medical attention.
