Dhaka: The government has introduced two new digital platforms aimed at enhancing services for expatriates and citizens in Bangladesh. The mobile app "Shubhechcha" and the online ticketing platform "Druto Ticket" were officially launched to foster greater engagement and ensure better access to essential services, potentially creating significant social and economic benefits.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, the Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, and ICT Division Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury, presented comprehensive briefings on these platforms to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna. The briefing took place during an event on Tuesday evening.
The "Shubhechcha" app is designed to offer expatriate Bangladeshis simplified access to over one hundred citizen services. Meanwhile, "Druto Ticket" aims to prevent irregularities and enhance transparency in the ticketing process for bus, rail, and air travel. This is expected to be particularly beneficial during festival periods and other peak travel times.
The Chief Adviser expressed his appreciation for the successful launch of the platforms and extended his gratitude to all those involved in the initiatives. He emphasized that the primary goal is to ensure seamless access to government services for all citizens. Prof Yunus remarked on the significance of the launch, highlighting it as a starting point with potential for further expansion to reach a larger audience.
Prof Yunus also expressed hope that the forthcoming elected government would continue to support and advance these initiatives, stressing their importance for the nation's development.
