Bangladesh: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecast light to moderate rain or thunder showers in different parts of the country over the next 24 hours, commencing from 9:00 am.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a Met office bulletin issued this morning stated, “Light to moderate rain or thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds and lightning flashes, are likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, and at one or two places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, and Chattogram divisions.” The bulletin further added that moderately heavy rainfall may occur at places over the country.

The Met office also indicated that a trough of low pressure persists from West Bengal to the North Bay, which is influencing the weather conditions. Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across the country.
