Dhaka: Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy has announced the launch of its 'Artist Enlistment Programme 2026', aiming to identify and enlist promising artists through a series of auditions. The initiative is designed to enhance the Academy's list of artists by selecting individuals who demonstrate skill and potential.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Academy has issued a notice inviting applications from individuals aged 18 and above. Interested participants must submit their applications in the prescribed format by September 13. Applications can be sent via post or delivered in person to Muhammad Anisur Rahman, the Programme Officer of the Music, Dance, and Recitation Department at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in Segunbagicha, Dhaka.
Applicants are required to clearly label their envelopes with 'Artist Enlistment Programme 2026', along with their name and mobile number. Essential documents include a photocopy of the NID or birth registration certificate and two passport-sized photographs. Candidates have the opportunity to audition in up to three disciplines.
The auditions are scheduled as follows: Nazrul Sangeet, classical, three poets' songs, modern songs, and group music will be assessed on September 18. Folk music, Rabindra Sangeet, recitation/presentation, and group recitation will take place on September 19, while folk, creative, classical, and group dance auditions are set for September 25.
