Dhaka: Social Welfare Adviser Sharmin S Murshid emphasized the importance of rebuilding the country by remembering those who sacrificed their lives, such as Farhan Faiyaz, during the July uprising in 2024. She stressed that these martyrs continue to live in the nation's consciousness, during a ceremony marking the 18th birth anniversary of Martyred Farhan Faiyaz at the Shahid Farhan Faiyaz playground near the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sharmin S Murshid, speaking as the chief guest, expressed that there are no words to ease the grief of parents who have lost a child. She highlighted that events like the football match and prayer gathering held that afternoon serve to ensure that Farhan remains in their hearts. The adviser also congratulated children with autism spectrum disorders for their participation in the football match organized in memory of Farhan.
M Shahidul Islam Bhuiyan and Farhana Diba, the parents of Martyred Farhan Faiyaz, also addressed the attendees. The event was presided over by Bijoy Krishna Devnath, Managing Director of the National Disability Development Foundation.
