Dhaka: Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Manch and a potential independent candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency, has been transferred from Dhaka Medical College Hospital to Evercare Hospital following a gunshot injury. The ambulance carrying Hadi arrived at Evercare Hospital at 8:05 pm, as reported by sources.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Hadi was shot in the head by assailants in the Bijoynagar area earlier this afternoon. He sustained critical injuries and was initially admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he underwent primary surgery. With the consent of his family, Hadi was moved to Evercare Hospital for further treatment.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety of political figures in the area. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and law enforcement agencies are reportedly investigating the case.
