Abu Dhabi: Shakib Al Hasan led Bangla Tigers tasted their third straight defeat in the Abu Dhabi T10 tournament after suffering a seven-wicket defeat to UP Nawabs today at Abu Dhabi Cricket Ground. This loss marks their fourth defeat in seven matches, positioning them at the second bottom in the points table. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bangla Tigers were put into bat first and managed to score 87-4 in their 10-over allocation. Shakib Al Hasan remained not out for naught, having faced just the last ball of the innings. Iftikhar Ahmed emerged as the top-scorer with a quick 15-ball 27, while opener Mohammad Shahzad was not out on 23 after facing 23 balls. UP Nawabs successfully chased the target, reaching 88-3 in 8 overs. Opener Avishka Fernando contributed the highest score of 36 runs off 16 balls. Najibullah Zadran played a crucial role in confirming the victory with 19 not out, achieved in just five balls. Despite Shakib Al Hasan's economical bowling, conceding only 12 runs in his two overs, he went wicket-less.
