Dhaka: The government has undertaken a significant reshuffle within the law enforcement sector by appointing new superintendents of police (SPs) across seven districts in the country. This administrative decision was formalized through a notification from the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs, under the signature of Deputy Secretary Md Mahbubur Rahman.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the newly appointed SPs will serve in the districts of Barguna, Bagerhat, Narsingdi, Narayanganj, Meherpur, Narail, and Natore. This move comes as part of the government’s routine reorganization efforts within the police force.

The notification further detailed that the officers previously serving as SPs in these districts have been reassigned to different units within Bangladesh police. They have been designated as officers on special duty (OSD) under the Public Security Division of the ministry, reflecting a strategic redeployment of experienced personnel.

The newly issued orders are set to be implemented immediately, underscoring the government’s commitment to maintaining public security and operational efficiency across the nation’s law enforcement agencies.
