Seven Dead in Mymensingh Road Collision

Mymensingh:Seven people lost their lives in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a CNG auto-rickshaw near Bangladesh Bank on the city bypass road.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the tragic accident involved a bus from Rajib Paribahan, which was traveling from Dhaka to Jamalpur, and a CNG auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction towards the Maskanda bypass of Mymensingh city. The collision resulted in the death of all occupants of the CNG, including its driver.

Md. Zulhas Uddin, Station Officer of Mymensingh Fire Service, confirmed the incident and mentioned that both vehicles have been seized at the scene. He stated that rescue operations are ongoing, and further details will be provided later.

Md. Shibirul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Model Police Station, confirmed the death toll and noted that legal proceedings are underway. Police and Fire Service teams continue their efforts at the site of the accident.
