Jamalpur: A day-long seminar on the Automated Land Management System was held today at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office in Jamalpur. The seminar was organised by the district administration under the Ministry of Land as part of a three-day Land Service Fair.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Additional Divisional Commissioner (Rev) of Mymensingh Jhon Kenedi Jambil attended the event as the chief guest. Speaking at the seminar, he highlighted the government's initiative to introduce automation in the land sector, aimed at providing faster and hassle-free land services. The system allows citizens to access numerous services online from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for repeated visits to land offices. Moreover, services can be accessed through a single platform regardless of whether citizens reside in the country or abroad.
He emphasized the necessity of learning and adapting to the automated system to fully leverage its benefits. The seminar was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Yusuf Ali, while Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rev) Sumi Aktar conducted the session.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Jamalpur Sadar upazila Md Tanvir Haider delivered a PowerPoint presentation on the Automated Land Management System. Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Azizul Haque and Zonal Settlement Officer Md Tofazzal Hossain also addressed the seminar, contributing to the discussions on the system's implementation and advantages.
