SelectUSA Summit: Bangladesh Delegation Accorded Reception in Washington

Washington: The US-Bangladesh Business Council hosted a reception for the visiting Bangladesh business delegation in Washington on the sidelines of the SelectUSA Investment Summit 2026. The event took place on the rooftop of the historic headquarters of the US Chamber of Commerce, a significant institution with a longstanding history.



According to United News of Bangladesh, the reception was attended by several notable figures, including US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Paul Kapur, US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T Christensen, and Bangladesh Ambassador to the US Tareq Md Ariful Islam. Officials of the US Chamber of Commerce and diplomats from the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington were also present at the event.



A 25-member business delegation from Bangladesh is currently in the United States to participate in the SelectUSA Investment Summit 2026, which is scheduled from May 3 to May 6. This summit has gathered nearly 5,000 participants from over 100 countries, including approximately 2,700 investors, marking it as one of the largest investment promotion events globally.
