Rajshahi: A scientific workshop organized by the Department of Information and Communication Engineering at the University of Rajshahi (RU) took place today at the Faculty of Engineering Gallery. This event marked the beginning of the department's ICSETE project, which focuses on developing an AI-Integrated Multiple Brain Diseases Detection and Diagnosis Platform aimed at enhancing sustainable national healthcare services.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the workshop featured Vice-Chancellor Professor Faridul Islam as the chief guest. Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Abdul Alim and the University Grants Commission (UGC) ICSETE Project Director Professor Gazi Nazrul Islam also attended as special guests. The session was presided over by Professor Emdadul Haque, the Principal Investigator of the ICSETE sub-project.
Associate Professor Dr. Foyez Ahmed, Co-Principal Investigator of the ICSETE sub-project, presented technical information and data concerning the aims and objectives of the project. The workshop further included contributions from Professor Halida Homaira, Chairperson of the department, who also addressed the attendees.
Following the opening ceremony, the workshop proceeded with three technical sessions. Associate Professor Dr. Foysal Tariq from the James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow, UK, served as the resource person, providing insights and expertise during the sessions.
