Gaibandha: A schoolboy drowned in a pond at HorinSingha village under Ramchandrapur union of Sadar upazila this afternoon. The deceased was identified as Lam, 10, son of Abdus Salam of the village and a second-grade student of SKS School and College here.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, family sources said Lam jumped into a pond for taking a bath after coming from school and went missing. After hectic searching, his body was recovered from the pond. Panel chairman of the union Parishad Mizanur Rahman confirmed the incident.
