Tasmery: The Under-14 School Handball tournament (boys’ and girls’) is scheduled to begin tomorrow at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city. A total of twenty-eight school teams from Dhaka Metropolis, comprising sixteen boys’ teams and twelve girls’ teams, are set to compete in the event. The tournament is sponsored by Tasmery Group and organized by the Bangladesh Handball Federation.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the boys’ teams are grouped as follows: Group A includes Uttar Kafrul High School, Khaled Haider Memorial High School, Sunnydale, and Heed International. Group B consists of Nirjhor Cantonment Public School and College, Model Academy, Wills Little Flower School, and Ideal School, Motijheel. Group C features Mitali Bidyapith High School, Methodist English Medium School, Saint Gregory High School, and Navy College. Finally, Group D comprises Narinda Govt. High School, South Point School and College, Cambrian School and College, and Scholastica, Uttara.
In the
girls’ category, Group A consists of Scholastica Uttara, Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, and Ideal School, Motijheel. Group B includes Kodomtola Purbo Basabo, Sunnydale, and Shaheed Bir Uttam Lt. Anwar College. Group C is made up of Heed International, Wills Little Flower School, and Uttar Kafrul High School. Lastly, Group D features South Point School and College, Shere Bangla Girls College, and Navy College.
