Dhaka: The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has scheduled an order for tomorrow on a civil petition filed by Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd. The petition challenges a previous High Court order that appointed a receiver to oversee the functions of the Beximco Group of Companies. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a three-member bench of the apex court, led by Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam, announced, "Tomorrow for order." The hearing saw senior advocate Masood R Sobhan representing the writ petition, while Advocate Fida M Kamal and Barrister Mostafizur Rahman Khan argued on behalf of Beximco. Advocate Md Moniruzzaman represented Bangladesh Bank in the proceedings. The initial order from the High Court, issued on September 5, mandated the appointment of a receiver to manage the operations of the Beximco Group of Companies, prompting Beximco Pharmaceuticals to seek relief through the Appellate Division.
