Dhaka: Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Dhaka Dr Abdullah ibn Dhafer ibn Ubayya paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Sunday. The meeting was held at 11am at the Cabinet Division of the Secretariat, as confirmed by Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahaman Rumon.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman and the Prime Minister’s Adviser Humayun Kabir were present at the meeting, highlighting the importance of the diplomatic engagement. The visit by the Saudi Ambassador underscores the ongoing diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh.
In a related event earlier in the morning, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman was welcomed at the Cabinet Division at 9:05am by Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar. This reception was part of a busy day for the Prime Minister, which also included meetings with the chiefs of the three services.
