SAFF U-17 Women’s Championship: Bangladesh Faces India in Final Match

Thimphu: Bangladesh will face India in their final match of the four-nation SAFF U-17 Women’s Championship at Changlimithang Stadium tomorrow. The match is set to begin at 3 pm Bangladesh time. Meanwhile, Nepal is scheduled to play against host Bhutan in the day’s second match at 6 pm at the same venue.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the upcoming match against India holds little significance in terms of tournament standings, as India has already secured the championship title with one match remaining. Bangladesh’s journey in the tournament began on a positive note with a 3-1 victory over Bhutan. However, they faced a setback after losing 2-0 to India. The team managed to regain momentum with a 3-0 win against Nepal, followed by a 4-1 victory in their return match. Despite their efforts, Bangladesh’s aspirations for the championship title were dashed following a 1-1 draw with Bhutan.
