Dhaka: Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) today inaugurated the 'Wholesale general home construction (residential) loan programme' against the corporate guarantee of Rupali Bank PLC. Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Showkat Ali formally inaugurated the home construction loan check distribution programme among teachers, officers and employees at the syndicate meeting room of the university.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Vice-chancellor expressed that this initiative of Rupali Bank will bring a positive message to teachers, officers, and employees. He noted that the loan program will play an important role in fulfilling the dream of building one's own housing and emphasized that such cooperation will continue in the future to make the university family financially self-reliant and stable.
The Vice-chancellor also highlighted that the BRUR administration is always working for the welfare of the employees. He stated that this partnership with Rupali Bank will be a successful example for both the university and the bank.
In the first phase, 12 teachers, officers, and employees were distributed housing loans today under the initiative of Rupali Bank PLC. The programme is expected to extend its benefits to many other teachers, officers, and employees in subsequent phases.
Registrar Dr Md Harun-or Rashid, Director of Finance and Accounts Department Professor Dr Md Shahzaman, Director of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Professor Dr Md Tajul Islam, Deputy General Manager and Zonal Manager of Rupali Bank's Rangpur Zonal Office Md Abdul Motaleb Hossain Pramanik, along with teachers, officers, and employees of the university were present at the inaugural event.
