Rajshahi University (RU) has rescheduled its summer vacation, adjusting it to the Eid-ul-Adha vacation due to the nationwide heat wave. RU sources here said the summer vacation from May 5 to 9 and vacation for Eid-ul-Adha from June 16 to 24 were scheduled. In the present rescheduled vacation plan, academic classes and examinations of the public university will remain suspended from June 9 to 27, while the offices from June 9 to 25. All the scheduled classes and examinations will be held from June 30 as usual. The decision was taken in an administrative meeting held at the conference hall of the building of administration with Vice-chancellor (VC) Prof Golam Sabbir Sattar in the chair. Pro-VCs Prof Sultan-Ul-Islam and Prof Humayun Kabir, Treasurer Prof Obayedur Rahman Pramanik, Registrar Prof Tariqul Hassan, faculty deans, institute directors and others concerned joined the meeting.
