Shailkupa: Attorney General Md. Asaduzzaman today stated that the roots of the attackers who targeted Inquilab Mancha convenor Sharif Osman Hadi will be uprooted soon. He made these remarks while speaking to journalists after attending a special prayer meeting organized by the Hindu community members in Malthia village under Shailkupa upazila for the recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Attorney General emphasized Hadi's significance as a figure of the July mass uprising, noting that he is currently undergoing treatment after being shot by terrorists. He expressed that the community is praying wholeheartedly for Hadi's recovery.
The Attorney General described the shooting as an isolated incident and a conspiracy aimed at sabotaging the forthcoming events. He accused terrorists associated with the defeated autocratic regime of targeting leaders of the July mass uprising in an attempt to dismantle it, asserting that such efforts will not succeed.
Additionally, he assured that the upcoming general election will be conducted fairly and peacefully, with full commitment from both the government and the Election Commission to ensure a free and fair electoral process.
The event included prayers for the recovery of both Begum Khaleda Zia and Inquilab Mancha convenor Sharif Osman Hadi.
