Shibpur: Police recovered a pickup van loaded with cattle heads that was allegedly hijacked on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway on Tuesday night. In this connection, police arrested four members of the gang involved in the incident, police said.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Shibpur thana police set up a barricade near the Shaspur Shaheed Minar area and intercepted the van. The arrested individuals are Sumon Munshi (29), Masud Mia (23), Lal Mia (36), and Morshed Ali (38). They were sent to jail.
The OC of Shibpur Model thana stated that the recovered cattle and vehicle are currently in police custody.
